Who you report a claim to depends on the type of claim.

Worker’s Compensation claims are reported to LWP.

General Liability claims are reported to George Hills Company and PARSAC

Employment Practices Liability claims are reported to ERMA and PARSAC

Property Damage, including vehicle damage claims, are reported to APIP and PARSAC.

Request an employee Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) / Enroll in DMV EPN Program?
A-Check Global, provides a web portal that allows employers to monitor employee driving records on demand and provides automatic e-mail notification when a reportable event occurs.  The system also includes a record management system.

 

Apply for grant funds?
The risk management grant program is designed to assist members as they strive to improve employee safety and prevent general and employment liability losses through the purchase of training, equipment, or services. We believe each member can lower their net costs through the proactive management of risk in the community and workplace. Reducing claims costs means more money is available to use in other important areas.  To apply for grant funds, complete the Grant Program Application.

 

Request in person training?
PARSAC members have access to a number of training resources, at low or no cost. These trainings can be hosted at your site, as well as part of a regional training with other members, or at the PARSAC offices. Training topics can be customized to best meet our member’s needs. Examples of some of the training available include:

Request Online training?
Members have access to Target Solutions’ suite of safety courses, including AB1825 compliant training, at no cost to the entity. In addition, Fire and Waste Water CEU courses are provided to members at a discounted price. A separate contract is required to access the CEU courses, however PARSAC will reimburse the member for each employee who successfully completes a course. Apply for membership?
PARSAC membership is open to cities, towns and public agencies providing municipal services. Participation in either the Liability or Workers’ Compensation Program is required and all applications are subject to approval by PARSAC’s Board of Directors and excess providers.
If your entity is interested in membership with PARSAC, please download and complete an application. The completed application should be submitted to PARSAC along with the appropriate underwriting fee and a loss report for each Program applied. Loss reports should provide five years of data for all opened and closed claims, including total incurred expenses and reserves. The fee enables us to perform a complete underwriting analysis, including on-site interviews and actuarial studies, and will be credited toward the first year premium. Bring an injured employee back to work?
PARSAC has developed resources to assist members in managing their RTW programs, including: the Best Practices policy template as well as the bank of transitional work assignments and library of job descriptions. More information is found in the Members Only section on the Member Dashboard

 

Ensure contractors and other third-parties have proper insurance coverage?
Any vendor working for the City, as well as those hosting special events, should have proper insurance coverage with an additional insured endorsement. PARSAC has recommended minimum insurance coverage requirements based upon the risk exposure to the city.
